Stephanie Czapla is a Miami-raised, Philly-based graphic designer and illustrator — mindful of the big picture, frame included. She currently works in higher education where she harmonizes contemporary design aesthetics with cohesive layout & messaging for various audiences and initiatives. Her illustration practice explores identity and agency through the relationship between the soul and the body. Outside of professional endeavors, she involves herself hands-on with local events and organizations instrumental in shaping communities' identities and purposes. From beginning to end, she asks “what is the story, and are we telling it accurately and proudly?”
In addition to visual art, Stephanie expresses herself creatively also through makeup and fashion, and enjoys traveling, bodybuilding, and being on the pulse of electronic, punk and rap music and culture.
In 2017, Stephanie was awarded a BFA in Illustration with a Graphic Design/Business double minor at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. Her clients include Chestnut Hill College, The Women's Film Festival, and Bristol Riverside Theatre. She has also exhibited artwork at the Plastic Club and Philadelphia Sketch Club. In 2018, she co-published a children’s book called “Gobbles Gives A Turkey and Gets Back A Whole Lot More” with author Brittany Fenkel. Learn more about the book and mission.
